Fish at Shepherds Bush tomorrow night.
Marillion at The Forum on Wednesday night.
Coldplay at the O2 next month.
Metallica at the O2 in March.
And then the Marillion weekend (three nights) in Holland later in March.
hedgie - I was at Shepherds Bush last night too. Great gig, gotta love Fish for playing the old stuff and his Faith healer routine. I was on of those guys who convinced his other half to go along and she really enjoyed it
Fantastic performance last night from Fish, just like last year. Fish has pretty much taken ownership now of the early Marillion stuff and his band definitely do it justice now - certainly a lot more than when I saw him in the early 90's. As Fish said, Frank Usher is probably the most underrated guitarist in the UK. His solo in Cliché is something special.
I was one of the guys upstairs in the 'expensive seats' (although they cost the same as downstairs!) and could see the panic that Fish caused with the security when he went walkabout!
Given that it sounds like he is going to take a long break from touring now, I'm very pleased I took in this and last year's gig at the same venue. I know that to many Marillion / Fish fans that Kayleigh has become a bit of a bore, but I still love the song and it was great to hear it live again. I don't think that I had heard it live since about 1993 and wonder how long it will be before I hear it again, if ever (please H - can you perform it just once more at Port Zelande next March!).
Was at Rancid's Saturday show at the Astoria - a great night. They were pretty slow at getting everyone in so I only saw GBH for a few seconds, but Rancid were excellent with their 30-song set - much of it pulled from ...And Out Come the Wolves
Me and a few old school mates caught Carter USM at Brum Academy on friday night, they were utterly brilliant and played a blinding set. Even EMF supporting were quite amusing. Top night out reminiscing about old times.

I was there too and if I ever see a better gig in the rest of my life I will be amazed - it was awesome!!
Have seen Carter 20 odd times but this was by far the best, and the crowd.... were they mental or what? Was down the front going crazy for most the set.
I lasted about three tracks in down the front before my body told me to get the hell out of there.
Certainly one of the best vibes I've ever felt at a club gig, the crowd, staff, security and bands were all absolutely fantastic and everyone was there to have a great time. A mate caught their "last ever gig" last year at brixton and was gutted he couldn't make this year. I get the feeling we haven't seen the last of them yet.
went to see goldfrapp a few weeks ago, then MGMT, and last week saw Ladytron - enjoyed that but they werent loud enough and the singing was poor at times and not loud enough in the mix.
luckily the support for Ladytron was Asobi Seksu - who i had never heard of but they are awesome - they sounded like a more thrashy Cocteau Twins live, though on record they can be a lot more poppy - would recommend people check them out :-)
He's very good live.
Get down the front if you can.
re:Eli "Paperboy" Reed at the soul tree Cambridge
get down the front you say!!! was in a venue so small the stage took up a fifth of the floor space, was packed with about 150/200 people been to bigger house parties!!!
what a fantastic singer this man is & a great band to back him up, if this man doesn't go mega then there's no justice
met all the band & Eli afterwards as they just mingled with the crowd afterwards while packing up the gear, happy to sign any records/CDs as well,
highly recommended
