He doesn't wear the make-up for his solo gigs...iirc Gene owns the rights to Ace's make-up!! He does still have the smoking guitar though...and also fired rockets when I saw him in '89.

His new solo album is looking like getting an April release

"Basically, I'm trying to get back into the mindset I was in when I did my first solo record [1978's 'ACE FREHLEY']," Frehley says. "That record seemed to have all the elements everybody liked -- a real cool instrumental, a hit single, some real heavy rockers, a nice variety of different genres of music."

Among his favorite new tracks are "A Little Below the Angels," hard rocking "Pain in the Neck," and an instrumental called "Fractured Quantum" which is a follow-up to his previous instrumentals "Fractured Mirror," "Fractured Too" and "Fractured III." Another favorite is "groove song" titled "Genghis Khan," which he likens in tone to Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir." Don't expect to hear any of the new songs at his concerts, however.

I have been a life-long fan of Kiss since the original line up in the 70's. I have stuck with them through swapping members, breaking up, re-forming and all that. I now want to take my kids to see them - I don;t want to take them to a festival to see KISS perform half a dozen songs, I want to take them to a proper gig - so C'mon KISS, WHERE IS THE UK VENUE ???? I can't believe I have to take them to France (or the choice of several in Germany??!?) or Italy, pay £140 a ticket X 3, flights X 3, hotel X 3. - If they can;t be bothered to play a UK venue then I am afraid this is where we part company.

Possibly an aspect of the contract with Dowload is that they can't play any other UK dates? At least not announce any before it sells out...

Sadly, despite saying I wouldn't in protest - I have given in to temptation and will be taking one of the kids to Paris - just too good an opportunity to miss.

i am a massive fan but really not interested in paying loads to see them out download with a bunch bands i have zero interest in, primalfear how much did it work out to for the paris gig

Haven't booked yet as I'm organising for a load of mates, but tickets are cheap on the following link if you can understand French !! (recommended by Kissonline site), work out from about 60 Euros (£40) - Easyjet flights about £50 return and hotel through Easyjet about £30 a night if two adults share a room, I reckon about £130-£150 should do it for an overnight stay 17th into 18th. Good luck dude, but make sure you leave me some tickets !!!!!

I want a 'meet and greet' package at one of the shows.

I met them in London on the Creatures Of The Night promo tour and got autographs and pics of them. Would be good to have pics WITH them though

More rumours are coming out about Paul Stanley reprising his role on stage as Phantom Of The Opera...this time in Las Vegas! I missed the Toronto shows and would love to go to this if it's true...damn not having loads of £££

STILL no more UK dates...aarrgghh.

I'm going to have to get a Euro date booked soon if nothing is announced. How long can I wait as the euro shows are starting to sell out!! I don't want to book a trip to France/Germany and then some UK dates are announced.
