Positive reception, but I wonder if it's like the AC/DC album. A few spins ("A great return to form!") and then quietly filed away.

That new track, I hate to say it, sounds a little 'lazy' to me. Perhaps I'm expecting too much hoping for a Black Diamond or Strutter MKII

It's the fact that it's stripped down and kinda basic that appeals to me tbh.
Just a pity that Paul can't hit the high notes like he used too...but for a guy pushing 60, he still does damn well

Gene Simmons is 60 today.
Kiss,AC/DC,Aerosmith,etc...... bands that I loved 30+ years ago and STILL going, even in their 60's! I'd never have believed it back in the day.
Though 60 doesn't sound so old to me now as it did back then

Pics of the new costumes are up online.
No radical changes...they are a mix of the Alive, Destroyer, Love Gun, Creatures costumes.
Bit disappointed tbh, as I was hoping for something totally new

The new issue of Classic Rock gives Sonic Boom an outstanding review 9/10. Cannot wait for it after reading it

I've read a lot of reviews for ' Sonic Boom' and I'm salivating at the thought of finally listening to it
:
Not sure if this breaks the T&C's, but I've used the link in my post above to legally listen to Ace's new album...I'm not too impressed
His 1978 solo album is a lot better...and indeed, his 1980's albums too.
I LOVE the guitar sound, but his vocals/lyrics are a bit naff. He's never been a great singer, but this does him no favours.
I'm still not going to cancel my pre-order though
Maybe more listening will change my point of view!?

Believe me I was tempted...but I'd rather blow the cash on more Gigs.
