Resident Evil: Afterlife

As a huge Resident Evil fan the first movie was a guilty pleasure, the second utter pap and the third total bobbins. I'm oddly optimistic for the fourth entry though.

Paul Weak Sauce Anderson has announced that he's once again writing and directing. The movie will apparently reboot the franchise and make use of those 3D glasses littering everyone's Blu Ray collection.

Video interview here.

Yes it is also my fav game of all time too...pity none of the movies can live up to it's legendary status.

Even those door cut-scenes were better than the films.

I bought the Trilogy on Blu.

Only watched the first, which is a pretty good brainless movie in it's own right.

The 2nd one I remember being crap with awful special effects (but with some nice eye-candy).

I quite liked the 3rd - really stupid but good fun.

But I'm a bit of a Zombie geek so enjoy a lot of Zombie themed B movies.

I can't stop buying them though

I have several versions of each on DVD, I also have them on HD DVD and BD.

Still, I'm not as bad as some folk... am I RomerojpgX?

Tell me about it. Mind you I love all 3 films

but hey many normal Joes I know also really like them, which is strange. It does seem most hate comes from forums and net peeps, which is fine as each to their own.

Still Part 4 if going from the last films ending will cost a fortune
Spoiler:
10000 Millas! surley that is going to cost a fortune of epic Blockbuster type budgets mind you not that many people like Milla anyway, so CGI Milla's will please some on here go back to good old split screen tech and save the CGI for films with massive budgets I say

I'm quite fond of Milla. Loved her in The Fifth Element and I really do like her kicking butt in those black boots. Very sexy accent as well

I've seen all the movies and enjoyed them all. Suppose they could have been made more gory and violent but they are aimed at kids / young adults.

Part 3 was 100 times more violent that 1 and 2 put together did you miss all that cutting and slashing up of Zombies and people No real ripping apart and eating etc.. but damn violent still.

Trailer

Looks, unsurprisingly average, yet I dont doubt I'll go and see it

Wentworth Miller seems to be in it too, bit of a come down from Prison Break

The Resident Evil films are a guilty pleasure of mine also. I've even got the German extended version of Apocalypse.
Don't know what to make of the trailer for RE: Afterlife. There aren't many zombies in the trailer and they seem to be going for a more futuristic feel. Still looking forward to it though.

Anything using The Outsider by A Perfect Circle is fine by me

Did they say it is in 3D?

Does look a bit Aeon Flux though...

I think you'll find that was Pandorum, which Anderson produced rather than directed.

Is it being shot using 3D cameras or is the 3D an afterthought like Clash Of The Titans?
