Weather Station £9.99 @ LIDL

Indoor base station with outdoor wireless sensor. Has barometer, thermometer, hygrometer and clock. Similar item by Oregon Scientific costs £39.99.

Wish I was near a LIDL - nearest is 20 miles and I bet they would be sold out if I went.

Sometimes the bargains at LIDL will sell out in hours or less and are not re-stocked. As you say, definitely not worth a speculative trip especially when so far away.

You could always get a Car self assembly model kit to make up for it.

If these are as good as the Oregon Scientific units, this is a real bargain! I picked up an OS model at one of the 'designer villages' for £25 (reduced from £40) and, even though it is nowhere near the top of the range, it is an incredibly accurate forecaster! My friends were all the taking the micky out of me when I bought it, but they actually all check with me now if they are going out/having a bbq etc! Talk about eating humble pie!

That is an absolute bargain for one with a remote sensor.

I'm sure the build quality isn't up to that of the Oregon ones, but an excellent introduction to Weather Stations at that price

They had three different styles in Cardiff - not tried it yet but have glanced at the instructions - it features a r/c clock! I paid about £25 for my r/c clock years ago - it's a bargain for a tenner IMO.

Been and got mine from Sutton-in-Ashfield, quite a few available, both black & silver models. Just waiting the 1-2 hours for the sensor to "adjust" according the manual!

If someone could pick me a silver one if you're in the store up I'll happily pay postage and forward some beer tokens :-)

none in the leeds store I've tried, likewise if someone could bag me one (either black or silver, silver preferred) I'll pay postage + some beer tokens.

regards

picked up a black one.
They had 3 designs in stock, a black/silver compact one(just a few cms bigger either side of the lcd), and a silver elongated one(as on their website).
LCD is same size on all units, just differing amounts of plastic.
I'll try pop back in and pick up some more units for other members.
Will report back later, if i get any.
