Talking Freddys Nightmares Vol 1 (9/6/03)

Finally time to replace those chewed up VHS things...

But does anyone remember the TV Series spawned by the Nightmare On Elm St Franchise? Huh? huh? the ones shown on Sky One, those adverts for the series used to scare me crapless as a child and now... now I have to chance to see them all with the first of many... well prolly 4... I have no idea how many eps were made of this TV Series...

But it basically explains what happened to the rest of the elm st children

I also have these on VHS. I will get them on DVD if they bring all the episodes out.

What is the pic quality like ?

For further info on the series look here - Freddy Nightmares Episode Guide

Well they are very strange, its more like a tales from the crypt where freddy narrates the sordid tale of how these teens died... Brad Pitt dies in one if I recall...

I hadn't realised that the show had been comissioned for two Seasons I remember sky airing the ad for 'Heartbreak Hotel' and as a child it scared me crapless Can't wait to see them from scratch... Sheer excitement... and there was a Friday The 13th tv series too? Or so I've read... The mind boggles... just bought most of the movies in the BOGOF offer at HMV and they do indeed suck... Rock on Freddy!!!!

There was indeed a Friday 13th series. It's notable for an episode directed by David Cronenberg (Faith Healer) which tries to sideline the two bland young leads and give the meaty parts to the older generation! I had it on tape a long time ago.....

Problem is none of them are any good apart from the first episode which is backstory to Kruger's past, Freddy's not even in the nightmares, he's just the host introducing some naff 80's twilight zone rip-offs

That's why I think I was disapointed with the Episode I saw. I wanted to see Freddy as it's called Freddy's nightmares.
