At one point this year I thought I'd struggle to get a top ten but as always I ended up having to leave some good albums out.

1. Opeth – Sorceress
2. The Anchoress – Confessions of a Romance Novelist
3. Marillion – F.E.A.R.
4. Thrice - To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere
5. Deftones – Gore
6. Panic! At The Disco – Death of a Bachelor
7. Glenn Hughes - Resonate
8. Rob Zombie – The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser
9. Metallica – Hardwired To Self Destruct
10. The Pineapple Thief – Your Wilderness

Also worthy of a top ten slot were:

Giraffe Tongue Orchestra – Broken Lines
The Heavy – Hurt & The Merciless
Biffy Clyro – Ellipsis
The Like Magnets – Amazing Pulsar!
RHCP – The Getaway
Shakin' Stevens – Echoes Of Our Time
Madness – Can't Stop Us Now
Volbeat – Seal The Deal & Lets Boogie

Best reissue for me has to be Jethro Tull - Stand Up (The Elevated Edition) another stunning reissue beautifully mixed by Steven Wilson

The year started strong for me, and I thought I'd have a long list to whittle down to just ten... but instead my listening has tailed off a bit in the latter months. So there are some albums I just haven't tried yet, listed by other people, which I would normally get - eg Wedding Present and PJ Harvey. Anyway, here's 10 in order:

1. Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool
2. Pixies - Head Carrier
3. Wilco - Schmilco
4 Minor Victories - Minor Victories
5. Explosions In The Sky - The Wilderness
6. Mogwai - Atomic
7. David Bowie - Blackstar
8. Steve Mason - Meet The Humans
9. New Order - Music Complete
10. Bon Iver - 22, A Million

Maybe I haven't looked hard enough, but seemed a real barren year for good music...only ones I've really listened to are:

1 - Radiohead - Moon Shaped Pool
2 - Steve Mason - Meet the Humans
3 - Bowie - Blackstar

I'm still on Lost in the Dream from a year or two back.
