never read it but i really like it (more than legion). haven't skipped through bits of this unlike that show.

i have an idea about what's happening and to be blunt, it's pretty obvious. at least on the surface. more information needed for more but in this show the plot moves along as well as giving us more insights into the characters.

I understand that gods are fighting against each other for control.

The problem is not giving the viewer enough information to become invested in the characters. It's like they've dropped you into the middle of season 2 and expect you to know what's going on.

I'm enjoying the general feeling of unknown on the whole thing. Reading up on each episode afterwards is like a mini-education into the relevant gods, and adds further intrigue into the direction of it all.

Ep4 was fantastic, and I thought Emily Browning did a great job as Laura.

Im really struggling with his now. Im forcing myself to watch it weekly because if i let one slip then they'll be a bunch to watch and i wont bother.

Maybe because i haven't read the books but i find the whole premise now incredibly disjointed. It's still a good looking show but narratively I'm lost now.

I don't think I'm lost, I just don't think I care very much.

I'm struggling a bit too now tbh - I nodded of during this weeks.. I was tired, but I've never drifted off mid-show before.

Same with me, I have to put it on two or three times to get through it.

Episode Six was one of the most jarring hours of TV I've ever watched - the bursting horns and jazz just clanging away all the way through it, I hardly paid any attention to whatever it was going on because of the bleedin' awful soundtrack.

6 was great but 4 and 7 were slow IMO. 7 especially. the lep is great but I hate Laura and so much screen time for her and not moving the story forward is weak.

if i rewatch this show i'll be skipping those 2 eps for sure.

I've not watched this week's yet but I'm still loving it. Sure, it's more style over substance so far but when it is this well made & continues to have fantastic visuals & great use of sound, I'm more than happy...

Each to their own but I'm really enjoying the Laura/Leprechaun story, both great characters

So glad I've gone back and read the book first before returning to the series and starting over. It all makes so much more sense although I wonder how much they'll fill in over time with the use of flashbacks.

I am only 1 episode in so far and got the same impression; the main character doesn't seem fazed at all by what is happening around him, etc

Ep 7 was fantastic, and really pulled me back in. Mad Sweeney is easily the best thing in it for me.

Only 8 episodes? How frustrating as it was getting really good. Has an airdate for Season 2 been confirmed.

It sagged a little in the middle, but those last two episodes were great.

Agreed that just 8 eps is a bit of a stinker.. . At least the next season can hit the ground running.

Fell asleep during ep6 and decided to give up after but might have just been convinced to finish it.

Jesus, this is so dull. Episode 7 nearly finished me off but at least there's only 1 more to go, so I might as well clock it.
