You guys seem confused. There was no Hector/Nacho stuff in BB. Nacho was created for Better Call Saul.

Caught up on the last two episodes and wow, this series just keeps hitting that high standard set by BB and previous seasons. Was nice to see Lydia, Huell and also the start of Saul Goodman, so much happened in those episodes.

I guess now that we have Gus buying the large laundry facility, we're on a kind of defined timeline to the BB era.

Could you imagine if WW or Pinkman make a cameo appearance , it would break the internet , speaking of which when the ice cream lorry got busted by the DEA at the border for drugs, I half expected to see Hank

I think this will happen (WW/Pinkman), Saul didn't appear in Breaking Bad until series two, and so (in theory) Better Call Saul could continue 'into' BB series one.

How many seasons is Saul supposed to last? Presumably they have a fairly well defined timeline, albeit there's a bit of flexibility with flashbacks, but I'm guessing its a strict x number of seasons to get from point a to z.

I'm sure they will drop cameos in but hopefully its along the line of you spotting one of the main characters in the background in some totally inconsequential way.

A few major things have to happen.

I assume a massive bust up with Kim, or something happens to her.
Don Hector ends up in a chair with his bell.

I think that last episode was the first time his illness was directly referenced was it? And obviously the suggestion that whatever it is, its getting worse.

But I'm thinking the tablet incident (and the pressure on his Dad) could well come back to be important. Swap out the medicine for flour and slip it back into the pot. One of those attacks will get him.

Nice BB nod with the Chinese Laundry. Especially the lingering shot under the dryer.

Maybe we'll see a maggot on someones shoe or something, that will eventually hatch into a fly.

Wouldn't make sense for Walt to appear, but possibly Jesse. More appropriate though would be for Hank to show up.

Would make sense for Jesse to show up as when Saul came into BB, he implied he was the goto guy for local criminals. So there needs to be some building to that, firstly a year of not being a lawyer (unless he uses the alias to get out of the ban or something) and the building the reputation.

Nacho doesn't appear in Breaking Bad, but he's referenced in a line of dialogue. When Walt and Jesse threaten Saul at gunpoint, he says (thinking they're sent by some other gangster) "It wasn't me, it was Ignacio!"

What prompted Mike to go ahead with the pill deal? Seemed a bit random. I must have missed something. He doesn't seem short of cash.

Was he sort of working for Gus on the sly, trying to get information about what he is doing? Possibly trying to get rid of Hector as requested, sort of being a fixer without getting his hands dirty and not implicating himself.

Seemed to me he's motivated to find out what happened to that woman's husband, but whatever his true motive was it was left unstated in the episode, just that he said to Nacho "there's something else I want you to do for me..."

I think it's as simple as Mike still feeling guilty over the guy he inadvertently got killed and that woman's story bringing it all back so he took the opportunity to see what Nacho was up to (even giving advice)

It's possible that he envisioned that end for Nacho, just disappearing one day because of his machinations, but the way it was presented seemed to me like there's a developing connection there between him and Anita and her specifically stating that she still needs closure over what happened to her husband was presented more specifically as a plot point for Mike to follow imo. Of course this show is often much more subtle than that so yeah, you might be right.

Yeah, I think he's still gunning for Hector and, having worked out what the plan might be, was advising of the possible flaws. The police would likely check the tablets first thing.

Could well be that he's also considered disappearing someday, but now is less likely due to what might happen with his daughter afterwards. Plus there's probably some physical attraction there too.

I love Kim, but I'm getting worried she will tear herself apart. She seems to be spiralling at the moment.
