Well this news ******* sucks! Well, he lived his life and left behind a great legacy like you say, bit of a shame as he still had some interesting projects in the works it seemed.

Martin Landau's gone too as well, now 89 is a grand old age to bow out!

Heard this late last night.... sad news.

He made the 'Zombie' what it is today, and still the only zombies/Zombie Movies to really scare me / creep me out now, in 'Night', 'Dawn' and 'Day'.

RIP George..... and to quote Roger..... "try not to come back!"

Absolutely gutted!!

11 years old and discovered 'Day of the Dead' in my local video store.
Went back and hired it out everyday for a week ... different times with the age regulation
Fuelled my love of not just horror movies but movie effects in general in which I now earn a living.
So always has and always will have a place in my heart!

RIP Mr Romero.
