Early days but I don't think the album is that great to be honest. They shot their load with a few great singles.

Patchy is the best word to describe this.

Fortunately the new Broken social scene record is filling in my epic Canadian indie rock hole left by Arcade fire.

Have to say Ive played it a lot since release and quiet like it.

I just find the whole thing quiet refreshingly different to other stuff thats out there (also nice to see a band brave enough to try something different) at the moment, and do actually find myself really taking in Win Butler lyrics which for me blend in well with the music.

Too much filler but still decent enough. I think the consistent run of 4 truly great albums is over though.

I still think it's their best work, but I never really much liked them before. Can't understand why it's had such negative press.

Ok I now decided I really love it, so not sure why it has got negative reviews, maybe the promotional campaign ****** a lot of journos off.

Annoys me though that buying a not cheap vinyl copy it didn't come with a download code, cheapskates.
