I'm 1/2 way through S2 atm, and loving it. Some of the split-panel shots work really nicely.

I've just finished watching the 2nd episode in UHD HDR on my Samsung KS7000.

I "think" I went to the UHD shows ribbon and selected season 2, then went up to seasons and got Season 3 that way and now it's in my recommended list in UHD.

I can't speak for S3, but S2 has nothing to do with S1.

Yep, only way I could find it on ks8000
Why amazon seems to have separate listings rather than just play the best quality available like with Netflix seems odd

Not completely. S2 depicted the events the characters talked about in S1, and included younger versions of some characters. There was also a quick flash forward to S1 towards the end.

But yes, you don't need to see S1 to enjoy the plot, it's mostly self-contained.

The rather excellent, and HBO/BBC offering, Sonic Highways is on UK Netflix

Not just a documentary about the Foo Fighters but a love letter to music of all shapes and genres and its impact on the people who create and consume it.

Loved Captain Fantastic, was about to buy it so thanks for the heads-up that its on Prime. Inherent Vice is another one which I missed at the cinema so that's bookmarked for watching.

Aha - I got half way through that on a recent flight back from Central America, but couldn't finish it as it wasn't on my 2nd flight. I was really disappointed at the time.

That's not correct. S2 is a prequel to S1, loads of characters in minor roles (but significant) in S2 were characters in S1. You can probably watch and enjoy S2 without having seen S1 but if you have it's way better.

Nothing from episode 1 of S3 drew a link but you never know...
