I always put that done to using unreal 3 (ME2 had better animation than these iirc) Its a new engine and its 2017 and by a "top tier" game developer, it shouldn't be this bad.

I've never really played the Dragon Age games. Tried with the first but couldn't get into it.

I just played through the first mission on the Xbox and it seems ok. I'll keep my preorder from what I've seen so far. Framerate is a bit chunky though but that seems par for the course this generation

Was listening to gamespot podcast and this game was made by new-ish studio not the original trilogy developers

I'm about half way through the ten hour trial and I've hit the hard stop in the main story line. I've done a bit of exploring and finished off a few side quests, but the scanning of planets bored me within ten minutes. I can see why you'll have to do that if you want to keep up with your resource gathering because without those resources then most of the crafting is going to be off limits. I read that the crafting is optional, but for a completionist like me, I know I'll want to be collecting every blueprint and crafting every item.

Despite that, I have now pre-ordered the game via CD Keys. The main story seems engaging and the exploration and combat is enjoyable. I'll give the multiplayer co-op mode a go later today so if anyone here wants to give that a go then shoot me an invite on PC.

Well some very mixed review scores out there... Finger hovering over the cancel button.

I was in two minds about getting this, I think I'll hold fire for a few months wait until it drops below the £20 mark on PC, I also think £40 plus for a PC game is way too expensive as well.

Reading some reviews I don't think it's a bad game just not reaching the heights of the original trilogy

I completed Yakuza 0 at the weekend (101 hours - 77%) and am still nowhere near finished with Zelda. I think this is one massive game too many right now.

I read the day one patch is already in the EA access version, so I wouldn't expect a miracle patch yet. Also I don't you fix the faces and animation with out a gigantic massive patch (talking 30+ gig) I would wait for a massive patch, even before think about playing it.

Good news: the massive white hating bigot left Bioware, he was just contract staff. Good riddance.

edit: some gamers who like the game are going full retard, making up Donad trump style paranoid rants "how reviewers were paid off by other game developers to hate on the game"

I was looking forward to this, but I'll think I'll wait for a 50% deal and when several patches have been and gone

Sara Ryder is the WORST FLIRT EVER

Sara is going to get a talk from HR from trying it on with every crew member.

edit: Female ryder voice acting is terrible, Jennifer hale did a much better job in the past games

Played the first 90 minutes on PS4-Pro late last night & right from the beginning, the visual quality is all over the place. One minute i'm impressed with lovely alien landscape 4K HDR vistas then the next, i'm brought down to earth with some horrific stilted facial animation or robotic movements. Thankfully the important stuff like exploration & combat has been decent so far.

Early days obviously, but the rollercoaster of polish on this game is glaring...

Disappointed, haven't played but all the reviews are saying that the writing and main story are weak which is what I really enjoyed with the first 3 and was hoping for again with this one. Sounds like a 'spin off' of lesser quality; think I will be avoiding this one even when it has been reduced.

I got this on preorder, and it arrived yesterday but due to family emergency it's sitting in its cellophane and won't be installed until Thursday night maybe and even then I'm not sure when I'll have time to actually play it.

I'm worried about it souring the memory of the original trilogy so maybe that's a good thing
