PAYG no bundle is it still available ?

I have a phone that I want my wife to carry at all times in case of "emergencies". Every SIM I look at requires a bundle but all I want is a SIM that I can put £10 on and it remain active for 180 days

Can anyone advise ?

I use Talkmobile for PAYG for myself and my daughter (they use the Vodafone network I think). I just top-it-up when I find out the credit is running low.
Don't know about 180 days activity though.

What about a FreedomPop SIM? The free one gives you 200 minutes, 200 texts and 200MB a month. Not sure if you have to use it every so often to keep it active.

I'm sure 3 still do a standard sim. Pay as you use.

I think they all do it, just not advertise it very well. Giffgaff do it, but try and force a bundle on you.

https://www.giffgaff.com/free-sim-cards

Just click the "no i just want a free sim" and then you top it up when it arrives.

Vodafone seems to have the same deal, but naturally they push the topup bonuses

Three still the cheapest as well on 3,2,1. If you need to keep it active then send a text to yrsrlf or use the internet for a min to keep it active..

Yeah 3's 321 is what you want. I spend like £10 every 6 months on my phone (I don't know what it's expiry is, if any - that's just how long it takes me to run through the credit)

Normally, a sim will only remain network active for 90 days unless you make a chargeable activity to show it's active. This could be a call, data browse or a simple SMS.

You can pickup any sim from a pound shop for this. The Three 3-2-1 sim is the easiest to understand with the tariff.

The giffgaff forums seems to suggest their SIM cards and credit stay active for 6 months. They seem to give you some warning, I used to have one of their SIM cards and they emailed to say it would be deactiviated if I didn't use it soon.

Order online from network and it's Free. They use to send 2 so you can give 1 to a friend.

Virgin's PAYG includes free calls to other virgin mobile numbers. Top up £5 and get £10 credit too. Just picked on up as a spare to go with our two contract SIMs. No idea what I'm going to do with it, but it was free
