Anybody ever have trouble with Now TV voucher codes?

I've just had a slightly bizarre webchat with somebody from Now TV. My film pass voucher code from the last Bargain Forum tip-off didn't work, and they told me they needed to reissue the code because it had expired... on 24th January 2018!

When I pointed out that meant there were still 11 months left for me to use it, they gave me another code which worked straight away.

Anybody else have trouble with codes from the bundles? This is the second time it's happened to me, as my last entertainment pass didn't work either.

Yes all the time, not sure why. But they never seem bothered and issue you a new code, it's just a mild faff. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Where is the code from? I often get issues when I buy boxes and then keep the codes for ages, it also had an issue when I didn't have payment details on my account.

I thought the codes with the NowTV Roku boxes only last around a year from manufacture. So have to be redeemed by then, even though I have never seen a printed expiry date on the scratch card voucher. Problem may be with boxes sitting around in store or at Argos, Tesco, Amazon etc. before being sold.

I think that's true, but they're happy to sort them out. My problem is my codes are sometimes a little dubious, there were codes given free on a website for employees selling boxes, etc. So you can't always ask them to sort it

I'd be willing to accept the codes expiring, except when they tell me they've expired because it's past a date in the future...

For the entertainment pass last year, they just applied another code for me straight away. This time, we had to go round in circles with them asking me for the box serial number, proof of purchase etc. I'd have given it to them if I had the box to hand, but I'd taken the redemption card out and put it away.

Seems like it's normal then, thanks guys. No big hassle as it's only every four to six months, but you'd think they'd sort it out.

I had the same problem recently with a movie code. They told me it was something to do with rebranding to Sky Cinema from NowTV movie pass. Reissued no problem after a strange web chat....

Yes I've had weird chats with them, not sure if it's a bot or them trying to be a little whacky. I asked them to reset my box limit as I'd just upgraded my boxes, and they did it, just said it in an odd way like they were casting a magic spell.
