Netflix ultra hd

Hi!

We are looking at upgrading our tv, and whilst day-to-day tv will be watched on sky hd, it would be a good opportunity to get a 4k set.

We subscribe to Netflix, which have a lot of content in ultra hd, we have our internet via sky fibre, with a speed at around 20mb/s.

Netflix recommend 25 mb/s for ultra hd- will I get a stuttering picture, or a marginally better picture compared to hd?

I'd be interested to know how others fare with a similar dilemma!

I recently went 4K with Netflix due to a TV upgrade and find the content (particularly the stuff so HDR) stunning and a definite upgrade over HD. I think Netflix and Amazon need around 15mb download speed to work, I have 80mb with BT and haven't experienced any stopping etc - not that helps you much.

No, that's good to hear! I've looked on Netflix website, they say 25 mb/s, but I'll give it a try and see how it works!

The picture quality will auto adjust to your internet speed. Sometimes I might have SD for the first few seconds, but then it goes up through HD to UHD as it gets up to speed. This is all seamless.

I've seen 2160 quality at 11mb too, seems to fluctuate between 11 and 15mb, so 20mb should be fine.

From what I've experienced it adapts extremely well to changes in link speed. I occasionaly have network problems where it drops down to what looks like sub vhs quality, but it's a seamless transition with no video or audio stutters.
