the short piece on drifting that electric car was something of what the show needs more of - the three of them really looked to be having fun & bonding. i don't like how it's all centred on CH & MLB, it makes for an odd dynamic.

i don't think there was a bad bit about the episode. would have been good to see hoy do a lap in the proper dry and not ever so slightly mildly moist conditions - he's clearly used to driving fast (/competing) so maybe not a fair comparison with most of the other guests.

Thoroughly enjoyed that GT R section, with Joey doing a cracking job there. ..But I did lose focus after that this week.

I wish they'd extend the 'main bits' (Ford GT, Chiron, GT R, etc) to a full 30 mins and shrink the other stuff down a notch.

Actually enjoyed this series, some bits annoying, but mostly enjoyed.

Me too on the whole. A few more tweaks and hopefully the next series will be better still.

Yesterday's 'finale' really fizzled out for me though. That boat nonsense was a step into TGT territory.

I thought the boat was awesome (and simultaneously utter crap). It was a bit of fun.

Russian SUV thing was the same.

The boat thing felt like something Clarkson & co would have done in the past on TG (& probably have), only much more expensive. Still kinda fun though.

Eddie Jordan really needs to be removed from the lineup ASAP though. His contributions to the boat film were dreadful & his 'interview' with Bernie Ecclestone was possibly the most bizarre & tedious five minutes of TV I've seen in years.

Totally agree about that. It was like an unfunny surreal sketch from a Monty Python show.

Overall I've enjoyed this series & a definite improvement over the previous. Still a work-in-progress but it's going in the right direction...

The Bernie Ecclestone interview-apart, the whole family really enjoyed this series - they've got the balance of the content (more serious car stuff v entertainment) and presenters almost spot on and it was a much more entertaining show than The Grand Tour. The fact it remains family-friendly is also a bonus. Well done to the Beeb for shaking the format up, I think they're on to a winner.

The interesting bit with the boat is how they built the thing.. 10-15 mins of that would've been more interesting to me than what we got.

If you didn't know who they were then it must look like a strange Spitting Image sketch. Very odd.

Caught up on the last two episodes and, apart from a few glimpses of promise, the whole series has just been completely stale and uninteresting. They need to get rid of Rory Reid IMO, he's just not up to the job.

It seemed completely pointless, the way it was introduced I thought Bernie might have something interesting to say
