That's a very fair point. I'd forgotten about their love affair.

Matic - what a fantastic player. The improvement over Carrick is like night and day. Pleased to see Lukaku get off the mark. Good 45 mins. Look far more like a Utd side.

You must be a little happier now?

Good result, good home league debut forum Lukaku and Pogba tops it off.

Outstanding performance. Not because of the goals, I would be saying the same thing if it was 2-0. This is everything we should expect from a Utd team. Power, pace, chances, and being decisive.

And everything you would expect from José's sides in their pomp.

Good start.

It wasn't his call, was it?

Good performance and good goals.

Don't West Ham always lose at your place though?

Yep, I'm sure a lot of Man United supporters were a little happier. It was a poor West Ham team though. One extreme to the other. BUT... this was the sort of game that we would lose or draw last season.

Agreed, not one of the toughest tests of the season.

Matic...well, didn't expect that...what a great player! With him alongside Pogba maybe the Ł100million man will finally step up. Lukaku off the mark and looking like the striker we've been missing and Rash getting the plaudits from the pundits

...Pogba...still not a big fan, but you played well

...hey, top of the league, title's as good as ours!

Are you a headline writer for the Daily Mail by any chance?

Just sprinkling a bit of optimism in here, it's been a gloomy place for a while now

Well, at this point last season you'd would have expected the equaliser from Swansea...maybe this IS the season we challenge for the title

Nice to have options up front. Think Marital deserves a start next match.

I like Rashford but all the good he does getting the ball into the final third, he then doesn't pass it, or cocks it up. Martial must take his place until Rashford realises this is a team game, also he missed a sitter... again.
Todays game at times could have gone either way, but this is not last year. Only two games in. One poor team, & Swansea who were better opposition. The real test is yet to come. So far so good.
Anyone know why Rashford was being booed?

Love seeing the team pushing on for more goals - I expected maybe one more for us in the second-half (or more likely an equaliser ) so for us to end with four was very encouraging.

My guess is that the infamous dive last season must've come against Swansea and the fans clearly remembered that better than I do

Agree with the calls for Martial to start over Rashford against Leicester - Rashford has looked dangerous in these first two games, but Martial deserves a start and may well be our best finisher at this stage. I think we'll need to take our chances more against Leicester.
