Controlled, measured performance. Very José-esque.

Thought Fellaini had a good second half, but he was bobbins in the first half

Good win. From a personal perspective I managed to watch the game 'as live' and didn't have an idea of the result before 01:47.

Very happy. I hope this is the foundation to greater things next year.

What a horrible 12 months. FA Cup. FA Community Shield. EFL Cup. UEFA Europa League.
What trophies did 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th win ;-)

I agree with that sentiment, and the club probably only care about the CL qualification for the money element and attracting better players.

However there is more to consider

Possibly whether big players consider the last few years as a blip and you're on the up, you didn't look like winning the league at any point this season. It seems unlikely you'd set the CL alight.

Are you in danger of losing the global audience to other clubs?

We had a crap 70's but we maintained our fans & grew. We may not gain so many at the moment but they will see the light.

Pogba and Zlatan say hello! No club other than Chelsea looked like they were going to win the league, there was no race, it was a one team stroll, and they weren't even in the CL this year - the team to go the furthest... Leicester City!

Utd will have no problem attracting players in the close season, and the global appeal is only going up.

It was vital that we gained CL qualification in order to both attract the biggest names and keep our current players.

With Madrid and Barca sniffing around DDG and Herrera they have no reason to leave now.

Herrera was always staying. Yet to be convinved DDG is, still think playing Romero in the final was the wrong call. I hope he stays, really not in the position to be replacing our best player.

Herrera has 1 year left, and apparently Barca are interested

So Zlatan will not be staying. Makes sense seeing he'll be out for a chunk of the season, but sad it ended this way.

First signing of the summer , Victor Lindelof from Benfica , nice , he and Bailly should make a cracking partnership , both young too

He's meant to be doing his recovery with us, so there mighy be a last hurrah at the end of next season.

I strongly doubt it, presumably you aren't paying him for the period? I'd be a little miffed if you'd binned me off because I was injured then had me back when I was better. I'd be off to China

MLS is more likely.

United haven't 'binned him off', his contract expires on June 30th. Who is going to sign him until the extent of his injury and recovery is fully known? He may never play again (God forbid)!

It would be sad to see the last of Zlatan, he had a kind of 'Cantona' arrogance about him.

There is some talk that he'll sign back up with us when fit again. No idea if true or not, it I doubt Zlatan is in any way miffed at the current state of play.

Assuming that United want him, this year we have more to offer Zlatan than last. CL football, presumably a stronger team, I would love to think he could get fit again & play to the same standard as last season, even if for shorter periods.

I'd certainly have him, if he got fit by the end of the year. Imagine signing Zlatan in January, fresh for a title push! I reckon he will come back just as strong.

Already bored of the transfer speculation. Ronaldo hasn't helped. It's the promise of something excitinghappening and then the disappointment when it will falls apart that hurts the most. Must be like being a Liverpool fan.
