For those still playing Resogun, it's getting PS4 Pro update today with 4K and HDR.
Thanks for the heads up. I forgot how bloody addictive this game is. The Pro update on 1080P adds a nice super sampled sheen to the already awesome visuals. Looking forward to seeing how it looks on a good OLED screen when I finally get one next month.
From what I've read it sounds like it works exactly like it does on Xbox One IF you only buy games from your local region. If you start involving foreign store purchases it seems to get more complicated and doesn't work on those purchases.
I was round my mate's house the other night, and I thought I'd be able to log onto his PS4 with my email address, and download any games I've bought from the PSN in the past. It wouldn't let me. (Something about an unauthorised user trying to log in on his PS4).
Does anyone know if it's actually possible to do this, and if so, how?
The hook is that The Persistence is procedurally generated. Every time you die a new character is woken up from cryosleep by IRIS, the ship computer, and the layout of the ship changes. So, every life plays out differently, with different enemies to fight, items to find and power-ups to collect.
There's some VR-fuelled couch co-op, too. Your friends can help by using their phone or tablet to hack into the ship computer. From there they can control doors, distract enemies and disable traps, among other things. But this second player can get rewarded if you die, which I'm sure will lead to some japes.
