when you saw them, were they nice and synthy or really stripped back or acoustic?

They weren't stripped back at all, it was full on Saint Etienne with all the pops, squelches and bits and bobs you expect. In actual fact I don't think they did any acoustic, slow bits at all.

I'd say that most of the songs they did were also updated in a Fox Base Beta type of way, they sounded more contemporary, but still keeping their essence.

I was going to buy the new album on download, but have just seen the 3 CD edition and really fancy it, it's not out until June, but you get the whole thing as MP3 download too. What to do, what to do.

I feel better that it is the mp3....still not heard the album, i am waiting for the boxset! Not sure I am going to last till the 11th...my bonus download is calling me!
