What gigs are you going to? (Pt 2)

1st thread reached 1000 posts a few days ago, so time for another.

Next gig lined up is this Thursday...18th October. Rufus Wainwright at the Manchester Apollo. Not exactly my type of music, but MRS-Speed is a big fan and I'll be subjecting her to KISS should they ever tour again

Just back from the Underworld gig at Manchester Apollo, which was absolutely ******* amazing. My first time seeing them and definitely not my last. Really impressed that you could buy a CD of the show just 15 minutes after it ended!

Been thinking for a while the technology's there so wondered why nobody uses it. Hopefully other bands will try it - how much did the CD cost ?
Cheers

Blimey - it turned 1,000! Never expected that when I started. Rufus for me too tomorrow night (front row )) then KT Tunstall on Friday at the Apollo and Amy Macdonald on Saturday. Then David Ford and Arcade Fire next week. Going to be a nice run up to Christmas gig wise.

The Kaisers at Hull Arena, early December. Haven't told the missus yet, don't think she'll want to go, doesn't like gigs!!
Mind you, don't think she's ever been to one.
My first since the Madonna Girlie Show, from the early 90's!! Is that classed as a Gig?

Off to see Lecorum play at the Lamp in Hull in December. A friend of mine is the singer/guitarist and they are very good. They have a myspace page with some of their tracks on it.

Looks like I've got Siouxsie Sioux at the Mean Fiddler this weekend so better catch up with her new solo album.

Porcupine Tree at the Forum and Foo Fighters at the O2 in November, Marillion at the Forum in December and The Cure at Wembley Arena in March.

Although I'm starting to get annoyed that with less than a month to go, the Porcupine Tree and Foo Fighters tickets have still not arrived. I can only really wait in for them on a Saturday and despite booking them months ago, it's looking like I'm going to have some real hassle to get them, and I can't plan to do anything on a Saturday for the next month. Thank you See Tickets.
