Liked the first one "Lads Army". Can't stand the scrotes since it turned to "Bad Lads Army".

Time Out disses the new series this week saying they're not bad at all and they're seriously over-playing the fact that these guys are "bad" when they've done very little wrong.

Bad timing as well with that guy who was allegedly 'beasted' to death in the papers all last week and on the news!

And Rocco plus one other recruit from the last series are now making multiple appearances on an adult website catering for men ;)

I don't normally like commenting on this but the one who walked - he didn't half seem camp.

Totally. And brainless as well. Fancy standing in a shop you're robbing and straightening your hair!

Forget the 24 hour cooling off period. They should stay in a small cell with bread and water until they've completed the 28 days.

I liked it even if it has been done to death a bit. To be honest it is TV and thus likely to be a bit staged/overstated/etc on how 'bad' they are. But who cares.

Shame the old Provost Sgt isn't back, he was great. Or is it the same one, sure he sounded different last series!

Yeah, his mannerisms were very camp, very limp wrists.

This is a great series, its good to see it back. Its already provided TV quote of the year for me, along the lines of:

'Sarge? SARGE? There are lots of sarges in the army son.....sau-sarge, mass-sarge, and if you call me either of those, this will be going up your pass-sarge!'

Anyone know the name of the guy who dishes out the beastings? Trying to find a pic of him but having no luck.
Loved his classic line of "Listen I'm a Londoner right, we always swear in London"

"Provost Sergeant Tim Weston
Could this be the scariest man at Browndown? Sergeant Weston is in charge of discipline – dispensing his own brand of justice from the camp prison.

As head of the military jail, Provost Sergeant Tim Weston is one man the Bad Lads should fear, having served in the regular army, the TA and even the Foreign Legion – there is nothing that he hasn’t seen or dealt with."

Yeah, I thought that as well. I actually was wondering if maybe the reason he acts like such a **** is because he is perhaps having a little trouble coming to terms with his sexuality.

He was unnervingly vain and he did turn those tables over like a girl :)
He seemed all mouth to be honest and he actually minced as he was escorted off camp.
As one qualified to judge I can honestly say he didn't do anything for me.

So, the series came to an end last night and we had some real drama too.
"There's a 1 in 1000 chance that your parachute will fail on your first jump" and it came true for one of them. Setting aside that I don't think you'd have ever got me up there in the first place, I don't think I'd have kept it all together enough to work out what had happened and deploy the emergency chute like the lad did.
And as for the next five jumpers - including the one who was practically soiling himself with anxiety - how they went through with it after watching that main chute come crashing down and not being able to see the guy for several seconds before he floated through the cloud layer....well.

I just wish this series went on for longer.

Great series, perhaps they should get some "Celebs" in there for the next series, or some women

Enjoyed this series as well, maybe slightly less interesting characters this time but the final parachute jump was very tense.

If the prog leads to at least one less chav on the streets then it's worth its weight in gold imo  (and I don't mean by killing them off via faulty parachutes ;))

having watched the whole series, can somebody explain what happened to the well-built black lad who was featured very prominently in the earlier episodes. Then he was in episode 6 very briefly at the start in the background (you'd have thought he would have been in the boxing?), then just wasn't in episode 7 - none of the training, and not at the passing out parade - does anyone know what happened to him? - he wasn't chucked out and didn't walk out, and there was no reason given for him not being there.

excellent series though - 4 series made and not a lemon between them!

Hmm interesting, I'd forgotten about him. Pretty sure I saw all the progs even though a couple of weeks got interrupted by football matches but don't remember seeing him leave.

Maybe he got injured and decided to quit. Surprised the broken rib guy kept going really.

Andrew70

Not sure if it's related but I did notice one of the recruits had his face blurred out during the boxing sequence.
Did something surface about his background I wonder.

Anyone know if the previous series are available on dvd? I have looked on the obvious sites with no luck.
